PROF. A. B. PANDIT
ICT MUMBAI Vice Chancellor
Prof. Aniruddha B. Pandit is the Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology.
After earning a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT-BHU, and a Ph.D. (Tech) from the University Department of Chemical Technology (now ICT), Prof. Pandit spent six years as a researcher at the University of Cambridge. He pioneered the Hydrodynamic Cavitation program at ICT, revolutionizing physical and chemical processing applications with innovative designs for gas-liquid contactors and cavitational reactors.
Prof. Pandit's impactful teaching methods led to innovations in graduate and undergraduate education,
while his engineering contributions earned him recognition as a distinguished member of the US National Academy of Engineering and the prestigious rank of Number One Scientist from India by AD Scientific Index 2022. Few of his many accolades include the Vishwakarma Medal, Sir J. C. Bose Fellow, and more recently ICC D.M. Trivedi Lifetime Achievement Award.
DR. RATNESH JAIN
Founder , Mumbai Biolcuster
Dr. Ratnesh Jain is the Founder and Managing Director of Mumbai Biocluster, the upcoming cGMP infrastructure and the Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT),
Mumbai. Dr. Jain’s research group extensively works towards developing analytical methods for protein and peptide characterization, mammalian cell culture, and upstream process development. Dr. Jain leads one of India's largest learning and skill development platforms “Biologics Workshop”, formerly known as the Biosimilar Workshop.
He is a leading biopharmaceutical consultant specializing in protein aggregation, supporting R&D and regulatory approval for biopharmaceutical product development. Dr. Jain also mentors and advises multiple start-ups and encourages entrepreneurship among students and professionals.

Executive Assistant
Anjali is a dedicated professional with expertise in bridging technical knowledge within the biotechnology domain with administrative processes. With a background in Bioprocess Technology, she has worked as a Project Coordinator at the Nano Medicine Research Group. She has gained extensive experience in business development while collaborating with multiple biopharmaceutical companies throughout India.
Mahesh Joshi
Project Scientist
Dr Mahesh Joshi completed his PhD in Biotechnology in 2021 from ICT. His doctoral work focuses on melanin pigment, which has various applications. He successfully isolated an organism which produces melanin on solid media. Later, he worked as a senior research fellow on various industry projects. This experience earned him a Postdoctoral fellowship wherein he worked with HUL on the microplastics release and its remediation. Currently, he is associated with NRG as a Project Scientist, mainly focusing on R&D, project management, grant writing, and funding proposals
